Guardian Girls Karate Australia is proud to partner with Stand with Audrey, an Australian not-for-profit initiative created in memory of Audrey Griffin and dedicated to building safer communities. Through education, awareness and community connection, Stand with Audrey supports young people with the confidence, awareness and skills to navigate the world around them.
How is Guardian Girls involved?
In 2025, Guardian Girls Karate Australia participated in Light Up, a major music concert held at Gosford Polytec Stadium to raise funds for Stand with Audrey. As part of the event, Guardian Girls Karate delivered taster sessions to more than 50 students, introducing young women and girls to practical skills in confidence, boundaries and personal safety.
Since then, the partnership has grown.
In 2026, Guardian Girls Karate Australia and Stand with Audrey will deliver the NSW StreetSmart Safety Series pilot on the Central Coast, bringing Guardian Girls Karate sessions into schools and universities.
The program is designed to meet young women and girls where they are. Through practical, age-appropriate sessions, participants build confidence, understand boundaries, develop safety awareness and learn skills they can carry into everyday life.
Together with Stand with Audrey, Guardian Girls Karate is creating opportunities for young women and girls to build confidence before they need it, find their voice before it is tested, and know they are not alone.
